This
spectacular sport allows you to be in communion with the wind and
experience the excitement of flying. In 1986, Maxi, a legendary
paraglider that was very similar to a parachute, was introduced in
the market. It became the first commercial paraglider to be mass-produced.
Since then, technology has come a long way and today’s paragliders
feature faster speeds and improved gliding capabilities.
High-performance paragliders reach more than 60 km/hour (37 mi/hour)
and fly at altitudes higher than 6,000 meters (19,700 feet).
You should never attempt paragliding without the proper training, as
this sport requires both theoretical and practical knowledge.
Training is essential. But if you want to experience this adventure
without taking a course, you should try tandem paragliding —gliding
with a professional pilot.
The right time of day to enjoy this sport is very early in the
morning. Recommended ages are between 14 and 60. Wear boots or thick-soled
tennis shoes and, above all, be ready to fly!! |
